- Ventilation: open windows and doors a crack when the weather is nice. Note that this is not recommended for extended periods of time if you live in a polluted area 25
- Sprinkling baking soda on carpets and then vacuuming can help remove odours trapped in the fibers of the fabric 25
- Place open boxes of baking soda in the refrigerator and in rooms can help absorb repugnant odours. 25
- Place natural potpourri in bowls around the room – you can use old flower from a flower garden and spices found in your local grocery store to create your own unique scent. Keeping potpourri in stylish bowls throughout the house can also make for interesting indoor decor. 25
- Remove odours material from the home. Take out trash and compost regularly and wash dirty and smelly laundry. 25
- Another useful tip is that if you already have glad plug ins you can detach the top part of the plastic compartment containing the fragrance and refill it with whatever natural fragrance you want. 1 part essential oil to 3 parts water, reattach the compartment to the plug in and you've created your very own non harming fragrant plug in. 25
